Apprenticeships and Levy Funding – Part Two
Apprenticeships and Levy Funding
This article is the second in a three-part series forming part of ISCVE’s ongoing work to highlight apprenticeships within the sound, communications and visual engineering sector. Developed in partnership with Activate Business School, an Ofsted-rated Good training provider, the series is designed to help organisations understand and make the most of Apprenticeship Levy funding.
Training Opportunities for Our Industry
Through our interaction with Activate Business School, we have discussed a range of apprenticeship standards and training programmes that align closely with the skills our sector needs. With Levy funding, these programmes can be delivered at little or no extra cost.
Training includes:

A blend of online learning with professional coaching to equip managers at every level – from aspiring and new managers to established and strategic leaders. With the latest skills and knowledge, they can manage new challenges, such as AI or Sustainability, in the modern workplace.
Digital skills
Empower your workforce with the latest skills in Data, Cyber security, Software Development and Information & Communication Technology. This prepares your business to tackle the ever-evolving digital landscape.
Business Administration
Teach and embed skills that are valuable across all business departments in our sound, communications, and visual engineering sector. Apprentices will develop strong communication, problem-solving and time-management skills, allowing them to take initiative while maintaining a proactive and positive attitude.

A CIM-approved qualification for aspiring and new marketers. This apprenticeship equips learners with the knowledge, skills and tools to deliver effective marketing campaigns.
Training can be delivered online, in-person or via blended learning. Courses are hands-on and project-focused, ensuring skills are immediately applicable in the workplace.
Activate already works with a wide range of industries tailoring the training’s delivery to fit operational needs. Whether that is adding data modules for engineering firms for or embedding sustainability into leadership for industries such as ITV or Blenheim Palace.
