ISCVE Technician Membership

Technician Membership is for applicants able to demonstrate a good standard of general education and technical competence.

Applicants shall hold, or be able to demonstrate, a standard of general education and technical competence (to NQF Level 3) or industry training and have been employed within the sound, communications and visual industries for not less than one year.

The current annual fee for Technician Membership is £85.

Each grade of Membership of the ISCVE is subject to certain qualifying criteria. This ensures our membership and our institute retains a position of technical and commercial excellence within our industries.

  • Applicants should hold, or be able to demonstrate, a standard of general education and technical competence or industry training which satisfies the Council. (generally to NQF Level 3)

  • Applicants have been employed in sound, communications and AV industries for not less than one year.

  • Suitable qualifications include 5 GCSE’s (good grades), BTEC Level 3 Diploma, AS Levels, A Levels or NVQ Level 3

  • Examples of suitable technical knowledge include an understanding of the behaviour of sound / installation and / or manufacturing techniques.

Your staff will have access to CPD training and learning delivered by ISCVE, ECS Sound Engineer card access, Health  Safety Training.

Those with an interest in the sound and communications industries but not working within them can apply for Associate membership.
