Is it me, or is it getting hot in here?
With a growing reliance on DSP and AI for both audio and video, AV systems require significantly more processing power than ever before. Complex processing generates a lot of heat which, if not suitably managed, can create problems for our systems. During this session we will look at how much heat AV systems produce and the potential problems it can cause, together with some simple guidance of good thermal management and common mistakes to avoid.
Biography
Mark Faulks started his career as a software developer in the IT department of an events management company before moving into systems design and programming for an AV installation and hire company. With over 20 years of industry experience, he has worked across a wide range of market sectors in both live and permanently installed settings. Mark is an ISCVE training presenter and was made a Fellow in early 2024.
