This seminar will provide an in-depth look at the latest updates and implications of BS 5839 Part 8, the British Standard for voice alarm systems used in fire detection and alarm systems. Auracast™ and the Future of Assistive Listening

With the growing demand for advanced assistive listening solutions (ALS), attendees will gain insights into the current ALS landscape, future developments and practical applications of Auracast™ in various environments.
The presentation will also explore the state of Auracast™ support in consumer devices, outlining potential timelines for mass adoption and addressing user experience challenges. The session will introduce Auri™, the first Auracast™-based solution, and discuss its potential to accelerate the adoption of this technology.
Aligned with ISCVE’s commitment to education, networking, and inclusivity, this session encourages discussions that advance industry standards and ensure accessibility for all.
ISCVE Registered Installer Scheme
Presented by Neil Voce MInstSCVE, ISCVE President
Neil Voce MInstSCVE will be explaining ISCVE’s plans to launch a new Registered Installer Scheme, aiming to enhance the value of ISCVE membership by improving visibility and marketing opportunities for installer companies through a public register on the ISCVE website. This will provide detailed profiles for installers, including biographies, project types and budget sizes, making it easier for potential customers to connect with the right service providers.
The scheme introduces new corporate membership tiers, including Registered Installers and Premium Registered Installers, aligning them with the existing levels of Supporting Members and Premium Supporting Members. This will allow companies to differentiate themselves based on the services and projects they specialise in. The scheme will leverage ISCVE’s SEO improvements and marketing strategies, and will incorporate a ‘Contact the Installer’ form to drive lead referrals back to members.
