New Sensory Room for Penyrheol Primary School
New Sensory Room for Penyrheol Primary School
With the assistance and expertise of Vaughan Sound, Penyrheol Primary School in Swansea now proudly showcases a stunning new sensory room. Situated on Frampton Road in Gorseinon, the school entrusted Vaughan Sound to execute a project that would change the space into a serene, soothing, and secure haven for its students.
Penyrheol Primary School successfully secured grant funding for the project aimed at creating a dedicated chill/mood/sensory room using specialist sound and lighting equipment. Headteacher Alison Williams reached out to Vaughan Sound to discuss possibilities within a strict budget and timeline. Vaughan Sound developed a suitable proposal, including a five-channel amplifier with a multi-speaker array for high-quality sound. The system can connect to various music sources and features Bluetooth connectivity.
In addition, Vaughan Sound incorporated several lighting effects like DMX bubble tubes, plasma tubes, and fibre optic sensory light strings. Some elements operate independently, while others, like the comprehensive batten lighting system, have specific programming. Scenes can easily be recalled using a user-friendly lighting control panel. The sensory experience is further enhanced with non-electric sensory liquid panels and tiles that react to touch.
Vaughan Sound collaborated with other trades to ensure the equipment was integrated seamlessly with new decorations and soft furnishings. The staff at Penyrheol Primary School is thrilled with the transformed room, now providing an engaging, immersive, and safe space for any student to use.
