Environmental Sustainability Policy Statement
The ISCVE is committed to continually improves its environmental performance.
It is the responsibility of the Directors, Members of Council and all staff of the Institute, to act in a manner consistent with this commitment and to ensure that all business activity complies with relevant environmental legislation and respects the environment.
ISCVE encourages a pro-active approach from staff and members to help the Institute meet this commitment. The Institute will consider any reasonable suggestions made by its staff, members or associates, which aim to minimise the negative environmental impacts of the Institute’s activities.
This Policy is issued on the authority of the Institute and its Council Members.
It is communicated to all staff and members and is brought to the attention of, and made available to, all suppliers, subcontractors and the public.
Implementation
To implement this Policy we will:
- Assess, and regularly review, the environmental impacts of the Institute’s activities
- Minimise the production of waste
- Minimise energy use
- Promote the use of sustainable materials
- Minimise the release of solid, liquid or gaseous pollutants to the environment
- Minimise the release of noise and artificial light emissions to the environment
- Minimise the risk to the general public and staff from operations and activities undertaken by the Institute
The responsibility for the implementation of this Policy rests ultimately with the Institute’s Directors, but requires the support of the management team, all ISCVE staff and members of the Institute.
