Training News: Video Fundamentals & In-House ECS Electrical Safety Unit at Penton UK and Designing for Speech Intelligibility at Ampetronic
It has been a productive period for ISCVE training, with three successful sessions delivered with the support of our supporting members Penton UK and Ampetronic.
Video Fundamentals – hosted by Penton UK (October)
Our first ISCVE “Video Fundamentals for AV Engineers” session took place at Penton UK, led by Mark Faulks FInstSCVE and supported by Chris Blizzard MInstSCVE.
The course covered core video concepts including image formats, colour spaces, compression, signal distribution and troubleshooting approaches, with plenty of practical examples that sparked discussion and learning.
Feedback from delegates has been excellent. Bryan Robinson HonFInstSCVE shared: “I thoroughly enjoyed the Video training course, the venue, the refreshments and the professional workbooks. Mark and Chris were excellent and the course and slides were fascinating and so informative.”
A big thank you to Mark, Chris and Penton for helping make this inaugural course such a strong success.
In-House ECS Electrical Safety Unit – hosted by Penton UK
ISCVE delivered an in-house ECS Electrical Safety Unit training day and assessments for Penton UK staff on 12th November.
Led by Jason Brameld FInstSCVE, the course covered key electrical safety principles, safe isolation procedures and best practice for professionals working in sound, communications and AV environments.
The Penton team engaged brilliantly throughout the day, and we are pleased to confirm that all participants passed their assessment and their ECS cards have now been issued.
A big thank you to Penton for their support and smooth coordination of the internal training day.
Designing for Speech Intelligibility – hosted by Ampetronic, Newark
On 18th November, Ampetronic welcomed ISCVE to their Newark headquarters to host our “Designing for Speech Intelligibility” course.
Delivered by Tony Stacey FInstSCVE, the session explored the core factors that influence intelligibility, practical design approaches and the standards that guide effective system performance.
The course sparked lively discussion and plenty of practical insight, and our thanks go to Ampetronic for their warm hospitality and continued support of ISCVE’s training programmes.
