Roles Description:
This is a full-time predominately bench based role for an experienced Technical Service Engineer at Audio Related Technology Ltd located in Chesham, Buckinghamshire UK. You will be responsible for repairing advanced class-D Power Amplifiers and other professional audio equipment. As well as having good technical knowledge and experience in fault finding, you will need to be comfortable with talking to customers and working independently but within a team environment. You will need good written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail in both the admin and technical aspects of the job. Normal working will be Mon-Fri 09:00 – 17:30. Flexibility with start and finish times is a possibility. You may very occasionally be asked to work on a Sat or Sun but only by prior agreement.
Essential Skills:
- Proven ability at component level fault finding
- Excellent soldering skills, SMD 0402
- Familiarity in the use of standard test equipment
- Good electronic knowledge
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong IT skills including knowledge of IP networks
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
Desirable Skills:
- Interest / working knowledge in Audio Technology
- Working knowledge of audio network protocols
- Willingness to travel if required, UK or abroad.
- Willingness to help other team members develop
- ISCVE membership an advantage
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in a related field or
- Relevant work experience will be taken into consideration
- Audio engineering certifications or relevant training is a plus

Salary Scale:
