Satchel Classes is an online platform for 11-18 year olds in the UK aimed at levelling the playing field  in educational support and opportunities. This is a new project from Satchel (previously Show My  Homework); a classroom management and learning software used by 1 in 3 UK secondary schools.

The classes range from 5 to 20 minutes and fall into one of three categories:

• Curriculum Support: tuition across all subjects covering the curriculum to provide extra  support outside school lessons and a useful revision resource when exam time comes.
• Life Skills: providing more holistic education, covering everything from mental health  awareness and financial management to creative skill building, health and fitness.
• Careers Guidance: professionals across a huge range of industries providing first hand  insight into their career to give students inspiration and information on the jobs out there.

Careers Guidance

Our careers guidance classes are all free and available to students and parents. Professionals talk through their own career journey, different routes into the industry, skills they use every day and some of the highs and lows.

These are valuable classes for students who already know what they may want to do; to hear first-hand what it’s like but also for those who are still figuring out their future; to get insight into a huge range of careers.

Can you Help?

We are looking for professionals from the sound, communications and AV industry to spare 20 minutes to record a video. All videos are recorded via Zoom. We set it all up, send a link on a day you’re free and all you have to do is click the link and speak into the camera. Some people choose to use a presentation and share their screen, others just talk straight into the camera – it’s up to you!
