Job Vacancy: Audio Visual Installation Engineer
Job Vacancy: Audio Visual Installation Engineer
Company: APi Sound and Visual
Due to continued expansion, APi Sound and Visual is looking for a full-time Audio Visual Installation Engineer to expand its first-class team. Although we are looking for an individual who can get stuck in straight away, we do not expect a candidate to know everything, and training will be provided.
We design, install and maintain audio-visual systems for a huge variety of clients. Our core business is in the church sector, but we also work in the heritage attraction, education and commercial sectors. Each building we work in is unique, and we are looking for someone who appreciates and respects this.
All our systems are bespoke and designed, installed and commissioned to the highest standards. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, a strong work ethic, a genuine interest in audio-visual technology and most importantly, a passion for delivering a great customer experience.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team and will be able to hit the ground running. Any training you require on the specific parts of the job you are not familiar with will be provided.
The Role:
You will provide installation services on a wide range of integrated Audio visual systems, designed to meet a client’s needs. As well as working on AV you may also work on control systems and network solutions.
The role will be mostly field-based, however, the successful candidate needs to be within easy reach of our Head Office in Exeter as there is often preparation and build of equipment in our workshop.
Projects are predominantly in the South of England (with over 50% in the South-West), London, the Midlands and Wales, so the candidate must be willing and able to travel and stay away overnight when required during the week. You will never be required to work weekends but there will be late finishes when required to complete the project on time. Where overtime is accrued, time off in lieu will be given.
You will work closely with the rest of the installation team to ensure that installations are completed within the specified time frame. Most of the work will be in a team of 2-4 persons, with some solo projects and service calls once you are comfortable with this.
We pride ourselves on being a solution-focused company, so we are looking for a natural problem-solver who can bring this attitude with them and use their experience to continue the history of bespoke installations we have. Our engineers are the faces of the company and we frequently receive outstanding feedback from customers about their attitude and professionalism, we are looking for someone who has strong communication skills and a very personable character.
