C-TEC Leaders Appointed to FIA Board and Councils
ISCVE is pleased to share news from Supporting Member C-TEC, as two of its senior leaders take on key roles within the Fire Industry Association (FIA).
Andrew Foster, Managing Director of C-TEC, has been elected to the FIA Board of Directors and reappointed to its Fire Detection & Alarm (FD&A) Council.
With a career that began in electrical engineering, Andrew founded C-TEC in 1981 and has since guided the company to become one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of life-safety systems. Known for his passion for R&D, UK manufacturing and innovation in fire safety, he brings extensive technical insight and practical experience to both roles.
Andrew comments:
“I am delighted to have been appointed to the Board and am looking forward to sharing my insight and practical knowledge to promote members’ interests and shape the future of our industry. I am also honoured to have been given the opportunity to continue contributing to the valuable work carried out by the FD&A Council.”
ISCVE also extends congratulations to Dan Foster, C-TEC’s Director of Science, who has been appointed to the FIA’s newly established Technology Council. Dan oversees the design, certification and ongoing safety of the technologies behind C-TEC’s life-safety systems and will work alongside fellow council members to help steer the industry’s technological direction.
C-TEC continues to be a major UK manufacturer of open-protocol fire detection and fire alarm solutions for commercial and residential environments. Its portfolio also includes lockdown and evacuation alert systems, as well as respected call systems, disabled refuge systems and hearing loop systems.
