Integrated fire alarm and lockdown alert systems enhance safety at Willow Grove Primary School

A network of C-TEC fire alarm and lockdown alert systems has been installed at Willow Grove Primary School in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan.

The community school, which supports children with special educational needs, appointed fire protection specialist GHE to upgrade its fire and security systems.

C-TEC’s ZFP CAST fire alarm and lockdown alert solution was selected to provide an integrated system tailored to the school’s requirements. The system features a choice of customised voice messages that authorised personnel can select according to the nature of an incident.

These messages are designed to help teachers and pupils follow pre-planned procedures and support a coordinated response during an emergency or security incident.

The installation comes as schools and other public premises review their emergency procedures in preparation for the implementation of Martyn’s Law.
