New Auracast-based installations demonstrate how assistive listening technology can improve access to clear audio in worship spaces.

Auri, developed by Ampetronic | Listen Technologies, has been installed in churches in the United States and Switzerland to help congregations hear services more clearly.

Connected to a venue’s sound system, Auri transmits audio to compatible hearing aids, cochlear devices, earbuds and headphones. Dedicated receivers and neck loops can also be provided for visitors without Auracast-enabled devices.

The compact transmitters can be installed discreetly without extensive alterations, making the technology suitable for historic and listed buildings. Auri can operate independently or complement an existing hearing-loop or assistive listening system.

Recent installations include:

• Christ Presbyterian Church in Minnesota, where Auri replaced an older FM-based system and allows congregants to listen through their own compatible devices.
• The Catholic Church in Unterbach, Switzerland, where the system was selected for its discreet integration and consistent coverage throughout the seating area.
• St Gilbert Catholic Church in Illinois, where Auri supplements an existing hearing loop and prepares the church for wider adoption of Auracast-enabled devices.
