Bose Professional Unveils Future Brand Identity as 802 LABS
ISCVE Supporting Member Bose Professional has announced plans to transition to a new global brand identity, 802 LABS, with a phased rollout scheduled to begin in February 2027.
The announcement was made during InfoComm 2026 and follows the company’s development as an independent professional audio business since 2023. According to Bose Professional, the transition will take place gradually, with customers, partners and distributors continuing to receive the same products, support and services throughout the process.
The new name draws inspiration from the iconic Bose 802 loudspeaker, first introduced in 1978, which helped establish the company’s reputation in professional sound reinforcement. The “LABS” element reflects the organisation’s focus on innovation, engineering and product development.
Since becoming an independent company, Bose Professional has expanded its engineering, sales and support teams, launched more than 25 new products and opened a number of new offices and experience centres worldwide. Recent product developments include additions to the EdgeMax and DesignMax loudspeaker ranges, along with the Veritas smart mixer amplifier platform.
John Maier, CEO of Bose Professional, described the move as an opportunity to build on the company’s heritage while creating a platform for future growth and innovation.
The company is currently providing an early preview of the 802 LABS identity, with the full transition expected to begin around the time of ISE 2027. Until then, Bose Professional branding will remain in place across products, services and customer communications.
