C-TEC Launches New CAST XFP Technical Support Video Series
ISCVE Supporting Member C-TEC has released a new series of technical help videos designed to support engineers working with its CAST XFP fire detection and alarm systems.
The videos provide practical, on-demand guidance covering key aspects of system installation, commissioning and maintenance. Topics include firmware updates, auto-addressing, adding new devices and downloading data from the control panel using a PC.
CAST XFP is C-TEC’s advanced soft-addressing fire alarm system, offering flexibility and ease of programming through either a handheld programmer or the panel’s built-in auto-address function.
Commenting on the launch, Terry Gordon, Engineering and Technical Support Manager at C-TEC, said:
“Our new help videos are designed to assist anyone installing CAST XFP. As a soft-addressing system, it is very flexible and can be programmed with our handheld programmer or by using the panel’s auto-address function for fast sequential programming of all devices. The videos demonstrate these options and provide guidance on identifying loop integrity faults, updating firmware and much more.”
The video series forms part of a wider investment in technical support by C-TEC. Recent enhancements include the introduction of a dedicated CAST technical support team, a new technical support telephone line and the implementation of a cloud-based, AI-enabled call logging system.
C-TEC manufactures a range of fire detection and alarm systems for commercial and residential applications. The company also provides lockdown systems, evacuation alert systems, disabled refuge systems, hearing loop systems and call systems.
