With the recent COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic escalating at an unprecedented scale and pace, CIE-Electronics has re-focussed efforts and resources to support the critical manufacturing supply chain which is producing essential equipment such as ventilators, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machines and other essential medical equipment.

In response to the NHS’ requirements to treat coronavirus patients, CIE-Electronics is currently working on a number of key projects to supply urgent ventilator cable assemblies and electronic components for critical medical equipment and is already working directly with a number of high profile manufacturers and members of the VentilatorChallengeUK Consortium.

The VentilatorChallengeUK is a consortium of major UK technology, manufacturing and engineering companies who have joined together to help meet the UK Government’s and NHS’ urgent requirements for medical ventilators during the current COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

Companies within the VentilatorChallengeUK consortium have already received formal orders from the UK Government to manufacture and supply in excess of 10,000 medical ventilators at the very earliest opportunity. In response to the NHS’ challenge  to treat unprecedented numbers of patients suffering with the coronavirus, many leading manufacturers, engineers, designers and medical equipment experts are prioritising the production and supply of these vital ventilators to serve the national need.

CIE-Electronics is acknowledged by the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy as a supplier to Ventilator Manufacture and offers UK design, stock-holding and  support facilities, including bonded warehousing. The highly skilled workforce and engineering teams provide inspection and testing facilities, high speed tooling and prototype production along with specialised assembly and testing production lines, both in the UK and overseas, to meet ISO9001, ISO13485 standards and IPC membership.
