News

Recently, ISCVE’s training presenter Peter Roe FInstSCVE, travelled all the way to Dublin to deliver our Hearing Loop Systems Measurement and Certification training course to a group of engineers from Sound Productions. Derek McGlynn MInstSCVE, Managing Director of Sound Productions, said that everyone who participated in the course was very happy with the content and found it really helpful. Peader Carley MInstSCVE, also from Sound Productions stated that the course was both interesting and excellently presented by Peter.

The purpose of this course is to ensure that sound and audio-visual engineers have the knowledge and skills required to measure hearing loop systems and how to meet the requirement of IEC/EN 60118-4. It also outlines the British/European Standards and Regulatory requirements and helps to understand the importance of background noise, field strength and frequency response.

The course also covers different types of hearing loop systems, their applications and also the limitations of available test equipment so that engineers understand what test signal should be applied (level and bandwidth), the ideal measurement locations (ideal versus practical) and the potential effects of noise and building services on a system. It also covered essential HLS documentation and records for the owner, site operator.

This intensive ISCVE Hearing Loop Systems Measurement and Certification Training Course is especially designed for engineers who wish to improve their skills in installing, measuring and maintaining records for hearing loop systems.
