On 5 June 2025, the Coventry Building Society Arena saw the fire and security community gathered for the annual Fire & Security Matters (FSM) Awards. Among the evening’s successes were two long-standing ISCVE Supporting Members: Illumino Ignis Ltd and Vox Ignis.
Illumino Ignis – Setting the Benchmark for Customer Service
For the second year running, Illumino Ignis found itself centre stage, this time winning the Customer Service Award. Judges praised the company for “going above and beyond to deliver outstanding customer service,” noting its 24/7 engineer support, same-day delivery promise and robust CPD programme for installers.
The victory follows Illumino’s 2024 Distributor of the Year win, highlighting a culture that values relationships just as highly as technical expertise. Managing Director Mark Gabriel summed it up neatly on the night: “Our mission has always been simple – make life easier and safer for every engineer who trusts us with their projects.”

Vox Ignis – Unicorn Voice Earns Commendation for Fire Innovation of the Year
Voice alarm rarely makes headlines, but Vox Ignis changed that narrative. Its Unicorn Voice Unified PAVA system was Commended in the fiercely contested Fire Innovation of the Year category. Unicorn Voice is a unified PAVA as it uniquely integrates voice alarm, public address, fire telephones, disabled refuge, visual alarm devices, background music and assistance alarms. It is designed for a wide range of sites and to be simple and clear to specify, design and install.
Unicorn Voice eschews the expensive, rack-based, single point of failure approach of older PAVA systems in favour of a distributed system running on a certified peer to peer, dual redundant and fault tolerant network
