University of Salford – Hearing Research (TV Sound)
The University of Salford is involved with research into the next generation of television sound and needs help to make sure it meets the needs of hard of hearing and older listeners.
With the support of the Institute of Acoustics, they are running the first ‘Engagement and Research (EAR)’ Day at the University of Salford. They are inviting interested people to spend a day at the University of Salford to try prototypes of their new technology, give feedback, share experiences and take part in ongoing research. You will get the opportunity to meet researchers, ask questions and have a tour around our facilities, including one of the quietest places on earth!
This invitation is open to anyone aged 65 or over, or anyone with mild hearing loss.
