We are delighted to announce ISCVE’s Standards Committee Chairman and Trainer, Tony Stacey FInstSCVE, will be presenting a seminar at PLASA 2022 on Monday, 5th September 2022 in Seminar Theatre 2 at 10:30 am.
The seminar is titled ‘A guide for microphone users – for public announcements and emergency evacuations‘ and will focus on how to optimise the intelligibility of broadcast speech messages with PA and emergency sound systems, by training and raising awareness of microphone users (announcers).
What can you expect to learn during this seminar?
Have you ever struggled to understand what on Earth the announcer was saying over the loudspeaker when at an airport concourse, rail platform or stadium? This is often due to poor acoustics. But good talker training can significantly improve the situation. To help, ISCVE recently launched a Training Guide for Microphone Users. Plus, ISCVE plans to roll out accredited training courses in conjunction with the Guide.
