ISCVE is very pleased to announce details of the Warren-Barnett Memorial Lecture at ISCVEx 2022 on Wednesday 23rd March 2022.

‘Audio Visual in Higher Education‘ will be presented by Adam Harvey, Solution Architect – AV & Digital Media, University of Hertfordshire and David Amann, Audio Visual & Multimedia Specialist, University of Cambridge and seeks to highlight how Universities are responding to adapt teaching styles and delivery methods using AV in more recent times.

Adam Harvey is a Solution Architect – AV & Digital Media at the University of Hertfordshire as part of  the IT Developments Team within the IT Services Department. Adam has been at the University of  Hertfordshire for 27 years and has held a number of AV roles in that time. During his time at the  University, Adam has been involved in delivering  over 700 AV projects, including work on 18 new buildings, ranging from ‘standard’ technology refreshes to innovative projects to change the  way teaching and learning is delivered to students. Currently Adam is the Joint Chair of LTSMG,  Learning and Teaching Space Managers Group, who are an education focused end user community made up of HE/FE AV and Learning Space Managers. Adam achieved the AVIXA CTS Certification in 2007 and holds several other manufacturer certifications. 

David Amann is Audio Visual & Multimedia Specialist at the University of Cambridge business school and has been an AV and IT technology professional for over 20 years, beginning his career with a  degree in Audio Technology and Music. After a few years in the commercial AV sector, David took up  a post at the University of Cambridge overseeing their AV systems. As member of the LTSMG executive, he is an ambassador for collaboration, standards and best practice. David holds the AVIXA  CTS and memberships of ISCVE and the Institution of Engineering & Technology and is a professional  photographer and videographer. As an active musician, David plays the euphonium with his local  brass band. 

This presentation promises to provide attendees of the seminar up to the minute insights into how AV is being adopted in Higher Education environments for improved course content delivery and increased flexibility in teaching methods.
