Theatreplan is a world leading design consultancy, providing specialist advice and design in the creation of spaces where live performances take place, or where digital content is created or shown.

Our projects range from complex technical upgrades for Sydney Opera House, to re-designing producing theatres in the UK and Europe, to virtual reality and content review studios for a major games’ developer.

We are looking for a new consultant with specialist interest, skills, and experience in any of the following areas: Theatre Sound/AV/Broadcast. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience of theatre sound design and sound reinforcement.

Skills & Experience:

We will consider candidates across the experience range, from those with a few years’ experience in the theatre industry, to established consultants. 3D and 2D drawings skills in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD are desirable, but not essential. If you have experience of specifying or working in these fields, and are interested in the consultancy career path, we’d love to hear from you.

You would be joining Theatreplan’s Audio, Video & Broadcast team, specialising in these three areas but eventually leading projects that could include the disciplines of theatre planning, lighting, and stage engineering as well. 

Additional Information:

We operate a hybrid home/office model, working Tuesday -Thursday in central London and remotely Monday & Friday. Technology for home working is provided. The role involves occasional national and international travel. You would be part of a small, friendly team and we offer flexitime, hybrid working and a contributory pension scheme.
